THE TALE OF THE MOUNTAIN DRAGON "SAZOO"

READ THE STORY OF HOW MY LEG FELL OFF!
Hello all,
You may know him as simply "Jeffrey" but if you're a super fan you will know him as 'Sir Jeffarious Edwardious The First Of Vik!'

He is the little ginger cat of mine who follows me to work, or hitches a ride. He often sits on the bench next to the fire and if you decide to sit there he is the guy that will stare into your soul until you feel so bad, you give up your seat for him.... That guy.
He never really grew into a full size cat, I guess he forgot that part and because of that, the local wild cats like to beat him up. We call them "Mountain dragons" to make him feel better about it all!

THE TALE OF THE MOUNTAIN DRAGON "SAZOO"

Jeffarious Edwardious The First is a little ginger cat that I have. He lives with me, follows me to work each day and does the beeeeeest impression of a gold medalist in ignoring me!

Do I love him a bit too much? Yeeeeps, does he love me... That's questionable!

Well folks, on the 24th March Jeff was found wailing outside of the house in agony with a broken leg. His boyfriend / best friend, Tumi (The neighbours cat!) was napping in our house at the time and when he heard Jeff, he ran outside to check on the love of his life, only to be greeted by Jeffries nemesis, 'Sazoo'... The mountain dragon that always attacks Jeff. Sazoo proceeded to beat the crap out of everything in sight until Johannes (203cm 6'8" tall man mountain) went running out of the house in barefoot to chase the mountain dragon away. In the mean time, I was wrapped in a towel after running out of the shower and flashing myself to anyone that looked in our direction... It was a moment I tell ya!

We found that Jeff had been running from Sazoo when it happened.

So, Johannes delivered Tumi to his owner a few doors down, I put a costume on that was, lets just say "Not, down with the kids" and off we went on a THREE HOUR car ride to the vets.

Poor Jeff, who normally loves a car ride was screaming in agony until he finally started to pass out through the pain.

The wonderful vet met us late at night in the emergency vet and after a LOT of pain killers, sedatives (a double dose) and X-rays, we have found two broken bones in his back leg.

This was a biiiig blow because Jeff is very much an outdoor cat and loves nothing more than a simple half marathon hike up to the mountains and back followed by an afternoon in the bus making customers go weak at the knees. When he feels like an adrenaline rush, he will hop on my back while I walk him around the bus on his make shift roller coaster! Wwwwweeeeeeeee!

So, that's the story of how he broke his leg.

Poor little guy had three major surgeries in the space of 4 weeks. He had plates, a cast / carrot (Orange cast) and finally the vet made the decision to amputate his little leg.

He is managing okay on 3 legs but still finds a few things hard or frustrating.

He did a crowd fund to help us raise money for the vet bills which came to 500,000isk!!! A maaaaaassive amount and can you believe it... We raised everything that we needed to get Jeff the treatment he needed.

Anywhoooo, after all of this, we realised that Jeff has quite a fan base so we set him up his own instagram page so not to swamp the Skool Beans insta page!

Enjoy!
